Your requests and devices stay on your phone

This policy covers the JFM IT Desk app. The request builder on this website works the same way: it keeps your request and device list in this browser and opens your own email app to send it.

What this notice covers

The notice covers the app on your phone: the services and equipment, the device list, the request you build, saved requests and the ways the app hands a request to you to send.

When you write to or call us, what you send is handled as described in the section on how we use a request.

The services and equipment in the app

The services, equipment, prices and pictures are part of the app. They are shown without any network connection and do not reveal anything about you.

Image for the section The request you build04

The request you build

The services, equipment, quantities, the way you want help, the day, the time, the urgency and your notes form the request. The app keeps the request you are working on, and the requests you save, on your phone.

Image for the section Your device list05

Your device list

The device list holds the names, types, models and notes you type for your own devices. It helps you say which device needs what. It stays on your phone.

Image for the section Your name and contact details06

Your name and contact details

To let us reply, a request can include your name, your company, a phone number and an email address. You type them yourself; only the way of replying you choose is needed.

Image for the section Address for a visit07

Address for a visit

If you ask for a visit, the request includes the address and neighbourhood you type. They stay on your phone until you send the request.

Image for the section Where your data is stored08

Where your data is stored

Everything you enter is stored in the app's private storage on your phone, in a database other apps cannot read.

Android backup is turned off for the app, so this data is not copied to a cloud backup.

Image for the section No account, no cloud copy09

No account, no cloud copy

The app has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. Nothing is synchronised and no copy exists outside your phone unless you send it.

Image for the section What the app does not collect10

What the app does not collect

The app does not collect location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage statistics, and it contains no analytics or advertising code. It does not read anything from your computers or network.

Image for the section No internet access11

No internet access

The app does not request the Android internet permission. It cannot send anything by itself.

Image for the section Sending a request by email12

Sending a request by email

When you tap Email, the app opens your own email app with the request written in it and addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you press send there, and from then on the email is handled by your email provider.

Image for the section Calling us13

Calling us

When you tap Call, the app opens your phone app with our number filled in. The call is made only if you start it.

Image for the section Sharing or copying a request14

Sharing or copying a request

Share opens the Android share sheet with the request, and Copy puts it on the clipboard. Where it goes next is your choice.

Image for the section How we use a request you send15

How we use a request you send

A request you send reaches us through the channel you used. We use it to confirm the work, the price and the time, and to do the work or prepare the quote.

Ask us directly how long we keep messages and requests.

Image for the section No payments in the app16

No payments in the app

The app does not take payments and stores no card or bank details. We tell you how to pay when we confirm.

Image for the section Your choices and rights under Colombian law17

Your choices and rights under Colombian law

You can edit, duplicate or delete saved requests and devices at any time, and uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your phone.

Under Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012) you can ask JFM CORP S.A.S to know, update, correct or delete the personal data you sent, and you can complain to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. Send such requests to contacto@jfmtechnology.com.
